Renn's latest design, the Tolman Seabright Skiff

Building the Tolman Seabright Skiff, a tunnel hull, shallow draft diesel inboard boat designed for maximum fuel efficiency.
Twenty six pages of construction details and drawings, you will also need either of Renn's, earlier books to build the Tolman Seabright.

For over 20 years Renn has been designing and building skiffs for commercial and recreational use in Alaskan waters
at his shop, located in Homer, Alaska.  Mr. Tolman does an excellent job of describing his boat building technique using the
stitch and glue plywood, epoxy/fiberglass encapsulation method in a manner that any amateur woodworker can understand.
He details all the steps from jig construction, through a completed skiff that will give you and your family years of reliable service.
Complete schedule of materials and tools needed is included, they are built using common wood working tools and techniques. 





The precision cutting of our parts save many hours of lofting, hand cutting and shaping the parts, not to mention
wasted material from any errors. Parts that require scarfing have scarf's cnc cut and are ready for glue-up.
Parts that require angles have them cut.  All transom parts are cnc'd with angles cut to specifications,
you just glue it up and it is ready to install.  Since our molds are cnc cut the builder is assured a precision aligned hull.
Kits include a cnc cut stringer mold support, this mold interlocks with #6 mold and assures exact stringer placement.
Inner and outer cnc Stringer templates are supplied.  We can make adjustments to fit your needs, i.e.. transom cutouts etc.
We also include email and phone support.

 Major components are available cut from AB Fir Marine Plywood, or BS1088 Okoume Marine Plywood.
